Today's Medal of Honor Monday recognizes Sergeant Ryan Pitts, who served in the War in Afghanistan. Sergeant Pitts was providing security for an Anti-Afghan Force when grenades propelled towards himself, and the other soldiers there. He was badly injured, bleeding all over and still managed to fire on the enemy. Pitts was unable to stand, threw grenades and then crawled to the radio to report what had happened. Sergeant Pitts showed extraordinary heroism, courage and selflessness on July 13, 2008. He served from 2003-2009, and now works for a business development in New Hampshire.
